you may say, there are a lot of falcon software cdīs around already, starting with the -transmission cd-, the -mission cd series- over the barely legal -falcon power cdīs- and a few others. but all those archives had one thing in common, even thought they were made for the falcon, they often contained big parts of st/ste software that was falcon compatible, or they contained all stuff as executable -and- compacted, offered a big bunch of cracked and regged stuff or were finally filled up with tons of mods and avi files. i got damn tired about all this drawbacks and thought about releasing an archive that will contain software for the falcon -only- and since i collected all falcon software bits i got my hands on from the early beginning in the middle nineties as i got my first falcon, i took this collection as base for a very own collection/archive. even though i lost a big part of my falcon collection within the time as i didnīt got back some borrowed backups i matched it to get the most stuff back later on in heavy download sessions. furthermore the idea was, to save all this software for the future, the internet isnīt a real save place, so many ftp-servers and homepages got lost in the past, with all the stuff on them. and so the private archives arenīt save, too... many harddisk crashs and destroyed disx later everyone of you should know that... ... . .. ..... : : ..... .. . :.: :.: what? in this archive i tried to collect any single piece of -free- falcon software that was released since the launch of that machine in 1992. you may see that there are a bunch of programs included in several release versions, but since some were buggie or featured several changes i decided to include every version that i could get my hands on... and just think about the title of this archive series... no fragments... all files on this cd are .ZIP packed to get the most of the free space on the CD and to get as much stuff on it as possible. obviously some stuff was packed on so many other archives before but as said, i wanted to get possibly all in -one- archive. this may help the active falcon lovers to complete their collection with just one CD. furthermore this archive contains a few rarities that were never released before, including some ultra rare alpha and beta versions that already disappeared short after their release again. furthermore you will find some programs to depack the stuff, lists with descriptions for -all- included items as well as covers for jewel cd case to print them out by yourself. ... . .. ..... : : ..... .. . :.: :.: bugs? as this archive contains over 11oo files you may know that it isnīt possible to check any program if it runs and how it runs. the most should do, but esp. since i didnīt have a falcon system up and running atm. i donīt know if really all files will do so, esp. since many were leeched and re-packed to have all in .ZIP format. one very well known bug is the corrupted epidemic demo by eko. one module is corrupted and makes the demo bomb after short time. we found the same module on the pc version of this demo but didnīt succeded in converting it to make it run properly on the falcon version of the demo. if you can help on this, please get in touch with me! please inform us about possibly not running programs or wrong written hardware reqs. we possibly will do a major update or a fixed remix of this archive within some time if the number of buggie files is far too big. mail me at: moondog@tscc.de ... . .. ..... : : ..... .. . :.: :.: future?
