The files 'top9302a.dcm' and 'top9302b.dcm' contain both sides of the German disk based 'TOP-Magazin' for the Atari 8bit. If you use DISKCOMM to unpack the above files you'll get the complete February 1993 issue. The 'TOP-Magazin' is released in the eastern part of Germany by the 'TOP-Crew', known for some nice demos as well. As you can guess, all articles are in German. Nevertheless, even people who don't speak German can enjoy this disk because of its interesting demos on side b. For those who'd like to try reading some articles anyway (maybe a dictionary could help you) I'll supply some information on how to use the magazine: First boot side a of the disk. Upon loading press the START-key in order to advance to the menue. If you want a (German) list of commands available, the HELP-key on XL/XE models will help you. Move the UP or DOWN cursor keys or the Joystick to highlight the desired article. Press RETURN or the Trigger to load the text of your choice. -- Commands upon reading: ESC = return back to the menue Cursor or Joystick up and down = advance smoothly through the text Cursor or Joystick right and left = advance pagewise through the text -- Always available: SHIFT-CNTRL-TAB = reboot Ok, I hope this helps you to read some articles about programming on the Atari, about recent software releases in Germany, about interesting hardware hacks and lots more. Enjoy it! Marek Tomczyk uj1g@ibm3090.rz.uni-karlsruhe.de ----- Important note: The 'TOP-Magazin' is a COPYRIGHT program. Copyright holder is the TOP Crew.
