MOVE RUG, OPEN TRAP, TURN ON LAMP, D, DROP EGG, S,E, GET PAINTING, N,U,U, GET KNIFE,ROPE. D,TURN OFF LAMP, W, OPEN CASE, OPEN TRAP, PUT PAINTING IN CASE, DROP ROPE, GET SWORD, SAVE. Good idea to save the game everytime you successfully complete a tour underground and return to the Living Room. TURN ON LAMP, D,N, KILL TROLL WITH SWORD. You will probably have to repeat (AGAIN) this command until the troll is dead. If he kills you, then RESTORE and try again. You also have the knife in case he knocks the sword out of your hand. Once the troll is dispatched, you can continue, this time to find another exit from the G.U.E. which will keep the trap door from being closed each time you descend... Leave the axe alone, it will attract the thief, who you should run away from each time until near the end of the game. He will steal treasures or the sword which you can retrieve later when you kill him. W,W,W,U. GET KEY,COINS. SW,U,D,NE. UNLOCK GRATE WITH KEY, OPEN GRATE. TURN OFF LAMP, U,S,S,E,W,W. PUT COINS IN CASE, DROP KEY,SWORD,KNIFE. GET ROPE, OPEN TRAP (it will stay open this time), SAVE. Leave the weapons here until later on. TURN ON LAMP, D,N,E,N,NE,E,N,N, PUSH YELLOW, PUSH RED, TURN OFF LAMP. GET SCREWDRIVER,WRENCH, S, GET MATCHES, S, TURN BOLT WITH WRENCH, DROP WRENCH. This opens the floodgates to drain the reservoir for crossing later. TURN ON LAMP, W,SW,SW,E,SE,E, TIE ROPE TO RAILING, D, GET TORCH, TURN OFF LAMP, DROP SCREWDRIVER. D,D, GET COFFIN, U,S, PRAY. If you pray at the altar, your prayers will be answered and you are transported to the forest. E,S,E,W,W. PUT TORCH IN CASE, OPEN COFFIN, GET SCEPTRE, PUT COFFIN IN CASE, E,E,E,E,D,D,N. WAVE SCEPTRE. D,D, RING BELL. The candles are dropped. GET CANDLES, LIGHT MATCH, LIGHT CANDLES WITH MATCH, READ BOOK,(first letters of each sentence of prayers contains name of Cyclops' enemy). DROP BOOK. S, GET SKULL, N,U,N,N,N,E, ECHO (type the word 'ECHO' to turn off the rushing noise), GET BAR, W,W,W,S,U. TURN OFF LAMP, PUT BAR,SKULL IN CASE. DROP SCREWDRIVER. SAVE. You should have the matches, candles, lamp. LIGHT MATCH, LIGHT CANDLES WITH MATCH (assume the candles were blown out in the cave). D,N,E,N,NE,N, GET TRUNK, N, GET PUMP, N, GET TRIDENT, U,N,N,W,D,U. You slide into the cellar and go up thru the trap door. PUT TRIDENT,TRUNK IN CASE. SAVE. (when the candles burn out you turn on the lamp and drop the candles and matches). You should now have the matches,candles,lamp and pump. D,N,E,N,NE,E,D. INFLATE PLASTIC WITH PUMP. DROP PUMP. READ LABEL. ENTER BOAT. LAUNCH. WAIT, (repeat WAIT command until you drift downriver to the spot where there is a red buoy). GET BUOY, EAST. When you pick up the buoy you will be between two landing spots, east or west. If you drift downriver from the buoy, then LAND will get you on the eastern shore where you will exit the boat and go north to the Sandy Beach. GET OUT OF BOAT. GET SHOVEL, NE, DIG SAND WITH SHOVEL, AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN (until you see the SCARAB). GET SCARAB, SW, S,S,W,W. You should be across the rainbow now. DROP CANDLES,MATCHES. (TURN OFF LAMP if previously turned on) OPEN BUOY. GET EMERALD. DROP BUOY,SHOVEL,PUMP. SW,U,U,NW,W,W,W. PUT EMERALD,SCARAB IN CASE. SAVE. You should have only the lamp now. It is possible to kill the thief now, or you can wait another trip. The stronger you are, the better chance to kill him. GET SWORD,KNIFE,E,OPEN SACK, GET GARLIC,LUNCH,BOTTLE. W, DROP GARLIC. TURN ON LAMP,D,N,W,W,W,U. (Skeleton room) SW,E,S,SE. (Cyclops room). GIVE LUNCH TO CYCLOPS. OPEN BOTTLE. GIVE WATER TO CYCLOPS. (He will fall asleep. Instead of feeding him you could say the name of his enemy: ODYSSEUS or ULYSSES and he will create another passage on his rapid departure.) U. The treasure room. The thief will appear and you must KILL him with your KNIFE or SWORD. The knife is more effective. Remember you should have saved the game just prior to the fight. Once the thief is dead, you can get all his treasures: GET CHALICE,EGG and any others he has stolen. If you are wounded and cannot carry all the treasures, drop the knife, sword, etc. and carry all the treasures you can back to the Living Room. D,NW,S,W,D,N,N,N,E. (Troll room) S,U. TURN OFF LAMP. GET CANARY FROM EGG. PUT EGG,CHALICE IN CASE. Put any other treasures, except canary into the case. DROP SWORD,KNIFE. E,E,N,N. WIND CANARY. GET BAUBLE. S,E,W,W. PUT CANARY,BAUBLE IN CASE. GET GARLIC,TORCH,SCREWDRIVER. SAVE. You should have the lamp in addition to the above three items. D,N,E,E,S,S. This is a short-cut across the reservoir. RUB MIRROR. You will transport to the 'other' mirror room. N,W,N,W,N. The vampire should cower in fear of your garlic. Leave the jade statue for now. E. PUT TORCH,SCREWDRIVER IN BASKET. TURN ON LAMP. N,D,E,NE,SE,SW,D,D,S. GET COAL. N,U,U,N,E,S,N,U,S. PUT COAL IN BASKET. LOWER BASKET. DROP GARLIC. N,D,E,NE,SE,SW,D,D,W. DROP LAMP. W. GET SCREWDRIVER,COAL,TORCH FROM BASKET. S. OPEN LID. PUT TORCH,DIAMOND,JADE,BRACELET IN CASE. SAVE. At this point you have all 19 treasures in the case and you see something appear on the trophy case. It is a map. Reading the map gives you a clue to finding the secret path. GET SWORD (just for continuity). E,E,S,W. You see the secret path near the mailbox. Follow the path to the final solution.
